The original Chaos went bankrupt, LD went to Crossgen, who coincientally went bust too, then went to Avatar. According to the auction info, all the other characters were bought by Tales of Blunder, who managed to run them into the ground w/ dismal Evil Ernie product and "Purgatori" product that managed to score her lowest ever sales figures. the "Purg" stuff was published by Devil's Due, who were so unimpressed by what was happening they dumped her before the last issue hit the shelves. adding to the confusion/BS, it then transpired that apparently BP got "all the characters that appeared solely in LD comics", which i'm taking must have been a subsequent deal w/ TOW, unless the lawyers were lying to my/everyone else when they published all the gen on the auction.
Chaos/ToW still own the stuff but it seems like they've learned their lesson and have given up on the publishing game ~ apparently the Dan Jolley Chastity issue was almost completely finished so it must be sitting on a warehouse shelf somewhere gathering dust.
whether they'll try again, or try and flog the characters to try and recoup some of their losses, is anyone's guess. tho, given the *apparent* levels of interest, i doubt anyone is bothering guessing.
