HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I posted this on the Yahoo broad, but just to keep this site alive with topics, here is a thought; If ToW would sell the right to the book could ever fan on the boards put money down? Ever fan of Chaos!(OLD NOT NEW) has their own scripts, I have about 7, we could make it a comic by the fans for the fans. Any thoughts?

i could buy them no prob, given the price they got them for, less the depreciation they have afflicted her w/. be very picky about what stories i'd put out tho. don't think i'd ever get into a joint-ownership exercise either, be too much squabbling about who wanted what and by whom.

There's a load of scripts out there (I hope you've read KW's Purgatori ones over at the Shrine, agarrick) but I'm not sure about fan art. The artwork really does make or break a comic, even when the script is top-notch. (If the story's no good, no amount of good artwork can rescue it.)
Plus, someone has to put continuity and consistency into the scripts when multiple authors are involved. Could lead to a lot of damaged egos, but 'by the people, for the people' still needs an editor and quality-controller... Sworn, bloody! Xetal |

Get me to do that? Not until I retire. I might be 60, but I'm still working full-time and intend to keep doing so for a good while yet.
Also, someone's got to get hold of the rights to the characters before we can even think about it seriously. Even so, it's an appealing thought: I'm not a creative type, but I can certainly edit. I'd also bring some business experience to the table, even if my main advice to everyone would be not to give the day-job up for comics. Sworn, bloody! Xetal |

The thing about holding the rights; I've all ways wanted to start a charity that buys the rights to comics that are not in circulation any more and let "up and comers" do the art and writing. I've all ways been a writer and wanted to write for comics but would never know where to start. This "charity" who be able to help people like me.
